Geraldine Fuenmayor is nothing short of an explorer – both in learning and in life. She holds a number of prestigious degrees from universities all over the globe, including a JD, a master’s in laws, an MBA and a PhD (we doubt she’d flinch if you called her “Doctor”). She’s also a serious outdoor adventurer who has skydived, parasailed and even walked across burning coals. True story.
Before working with Disan, Geraldine was a foreign attorney for Washington D.C.’sArnold & Porter LLP where she skillfully represented Latin American sovereign clients in various financial transactions and other international legal proceedings, as well as victims of violence and injustice in pro bono cases. Prior, she worked at the Venezuelan Central Bank (equivalent to the U.S. National Reserve) for nearly a decade where she left as the Legal Advisor for International Affairs. With credentials like these, 15 total years of experience and a deep understanding of so many diverse cultures, Geraldine is an invaluable member of the Disan team.
A woman of many languages (she’s fluent in Spanish and English with working Portuguese and basic French), Geraldine is also a perpetually positive thinker. To her, life is always sunny-side-up, so she spends her free time soaking it in through cooking, movies and world travel.FULL BIO
